Benidorm Bikes

Date: Sunday August 3, 2008
The 5th Annual Tour of the Litchfield Hills will be held Sunday August 3th, 2008. The goal of the tour is to raise funds for the Center for Cancer Care Fund, Incorporated. The Fund is a non-profit corporation that provides financial assistance to persons battling cancer. The Tour consists of 12, 30, 50, 75 and 100 mile cycling routes. All routes are on paved roadways and are fully supported with water stations and on-the-road support vehicles. All routes head out from Coe Park in Torrington along scenic and lightly traveled roads throughout Litchfield County before bringing you back to Coe Park for the post ride/walk picnic and festivities. There are also several walking routes set up for non cyclists who wish to participate. The Tour is not a race. All cyclists are strongly encouraged to wear a helmet. There is a registration fee of $30 for adults, $15 for children and $50 for a family of five or less. The registration fee is waived for anyone raising $100 or more. All participants will receive a T-shirt specifically design for this year's tour as well as raffle tickets and food and refreshments. A prize is awarded to the top individual fund raiser.
